ASHAYER‭ (‬tribes in Persian‭) ‬is a multimedia project about the nomads in Iran from Tannaz Khomarloo and Giulia Noordeloos‭.

‬Out of 80‭ ‬million inhabitants‭, ‬up today five million people still live a nomadic life‭. ‬In 2017‭ ‬three different tribes in the region of Fars‭ (‬Southern Iran‭) ‬and in the North West‭ ‬of the country were visited‭. ‬

This photobook is the result of this journey‭, ‬enhanced by a‭  ‬suitable design with the aim to combine the Iranian nomad‘s tradition and our modern sense‭.

Some of the pictures in this photobook also‭ ‬provide videos with a QR‭- ‬or AR-code function‭. ‬An enclosed‭ ‬project manual is giving more information about the design ideas and the process‭ ‬behind the photobook‭.
